SWMU 67 – Former Gas Station

SWMU 67 is located on the east side of Langley Drive north of the tennis courts in a level area covered with secondary growth vegetation. Records reviews identified a small building on the site as a gas station. During site inspections, a concrete pad and building foundation were observed north of the tennis courts within the woods. This building foundation contained an area where suspected previous vehicle maintenance was performed. No UST was identified. There were no signs of stressed vegetation observed during the investigation, and a down gradient storm water drainage swale is situated north of the building foundation.

Subsurface soil and groundwater samples were collected and analyzed to characterize the site. In general, the organic compounds detected at the former Gas Station are typical of those associated with fuel and solvent use. It is concluded that this site has been impacted by previous activities at NAPR.
